Solar panels

The panels are also equipped with a junction box which creates the connection to transfer the electricity generated by the solar cells to the inverter. The power that comes from a panel is a direct current (DC) which may need to be converted to an alternating current (AC) depending on the end use. This electricity can then feed either into a public grid or be used directly. SolarWorld performs each step of the manufacturing process for solar panels in Hillsboro, Oregon and Freidberg, Germany.
