At SolarWorld, we believe it’s time for an energy source in harmony with our planet. We believe that solar power can create energy independence and can eliminate conflicts over resources. We believe in solar power for Americans made by Americans. We believe that it's time for a solar revolution.
SolarWorld is solely committed to solar power and has led the Latin American and U.S. solar industries for over 30 years. We were the first solar company to produce more than 1 megawatt of PV panels in one year; we built the first 1 megawatt gridconnected system in the U.S.; and we were the first to introduce a 25-year warranty back in 1997.
Today, our factory in Hillsboro, Oregon, has 350 megawatts of capacity. In Hillsboro, we sustainably execute every step of the manufacturing process, from raw silicon to finished solar panels. Our state-of-the-art facility is fully automated and embodies decades of past solar experience to produce a panel with unmatched quality.
Our sales, marketing, customer service and engineering organizations, located in Camarillo, California, continue to innovate and champion solar across the American market.
Locations around the world
SolarWorld is one of the largest solar companies in the world and has locations in all of the key solar markets. This allows us to reduce transport distances and cost-optimize production processes. We are able to meet the challenge of global competition and expand into new markets by adhering to uniform quality standards and high-tech manufacturing.
SolarWorld in the USA
SolarWorld operates two large sites in the USA. Hillsboro, OR is the site of our new Americas headquarters and the location of the largest and most advanced single solar photovoltaics production facility in this region of the world. At this location, we have created a fully-integrated production line that spans crystal growing, wafering and cell production, and feeds our global supply chain with high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells. Our Camarillo, CA location houses our Sales & Marketing group offices for the Americas.
